According to Garcia, one of the main objectives of the program is to “connect and engage with younger females.” The gathering expects to serve understudies locally all through schools in the San Antonio region, starting with Lutheran Secondary School of San Antonio, which is a piece of the Principal Mechanical technology program.
“There’s a spot for everybody in mechanical technology,” she added. The gathering’s site takes note of that nonbinary individuals are welcome in its different sections.
WiR has already begun leading new initiatives with Lutheran College, providing students with the opportunity to begin their STEM careers under the guidance of industry professionals. Students have access to mentors both locally and nationally, allowing them to participate in competitive activities like programming and robot fabrication.
