He had worked for CTI for the past two and a half years, a small company that makes software and systems and provides technologies to the US military. During his time there, Goodson had worn many hats and learned the intricacies of the defense contracting industry.
Goodson and a colleague, Steve Turner, were forced to make a decision when the company sought a private equity partner to provide the capital required for significant expansion: remain and develop, or strike out all alone.
By then, Goodson said, “Steve and I had chipped away at pretty much every sort of program or project you can deal with in the Division of Safeguard, from frameworks mix on ran airplane, uncrewed frameworks, application advancement [of] both portable and electronic applications, information handling and AI.”
